Delia J. Lujano is a Bilingual Licensed Profession Counselor. She has worked for Elementary Schools in Wichita, KS for 24 years as an Elementary School Counselor. Her school is 89% Mexican. She teaches introductory classes to counseling at Wichita State University. She has been on the KSAPT Board for 2 terms. She also began Parent University, which teaches parenting classes at her elementary school. This year she has been nominated to KCA Counselor Hall of Fame.

I'm proud to have worked as counselor in the Olathe Shcool District for the past 29 years. I'm a North Dakota girl and did my undergraduate work at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. My first job out of college was teaching sixth grade in Gardner, KS. I received my Masters dgree at Emporia State University and also received my administrative certification.
I am a Registered Play Therapist and received my certification from Mid America Nazarene Universtiy. I am also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. |

Jeanne is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and has been employed at Sumner Mental Health Center for 15 years. She recently assumed the position of Children's Director and continues clinical work as well. Jeanne is a Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor and has served on the Kansas Association for Play Therapy Board of Directors for 4 years.

Joyce is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in private practice with Client Centered Counseling in McPherson, Ks. She has been doing play therapy with children for eighteen years and has been on the Board of KSAPT for two years. Previously she worked at Horizon’s Mental Health in Hutchinson, Prairie View Mental Health in Newton and McPherson and Veridian Behavioral Health in McPherson.

Tina has utilized her play therapy skills in a variety of settings including school, outpatient mental health, in-home family therapy, foster care and domestic violence shelters. She is a graduate of The University of Michigan School of Social Work in Ann Arbor and holds a clinical social work license and her registered play therapist supervisor credentials. Her specific area of interests in play therapy include treatment of early childhood trauma, enhancing the parent/child relationship and providing services within the school setting. Tina lives in the Kansas City Metro area with her husband and 2 year old son.

Rebeca is the Coordinator of the Play Therapy Certificate Program at Mid America Nazarene University. She is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Register Play Therapist Supervisor. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with honors from the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica in Costa Rica and her Masters of Counseling Psychology from University of Missouri Kansas City. Rebeca has worked in various settings as a bilingual therapist including Johnson County Community College, Safe Home, Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault, and Mattie Rhodes Counseling Center. Rebeca presented at the 2006 APT national conference in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on her work with using play therapy with adult survivors of sexual abuse. |
Brijin Gardner

Brijin Gardner, is a clinical social worker practicing in the Kansas City area. She maintains a private practice, works in public schools providing services for special education students and gives trainings in play therapy. Brijin has written several grants to fund play therapy groups and experiential family nights hosted at the school. She has presented multiple times at the Association for Play Therapy Conferences and the International Theraplay® conference. Brijin has published techniques and authored articles relating to her work with groups, adolescents and Theraplay® applications. |

Kathy received her certificate in Play Therapy from MNU Dec. 2006. She received her RPT credentials in 2007. She currently uses play therapy techniques in the school setting and also at a clinic sponsored by USD 233 two evenings a week. She holds a BSE in Education and a MS.Ed in School Counseling. She lives in the Kansas City Metro area.

Denise Filley is the Director/Owner of KC Play Therapy Institute in Overland Park, KS. She is also an adjunct instructor at University of St. Mary in Overland Park. Denise has served as President, President-elect, Past President, Nominations Chair, Newsletter Chair, Conference Chair and Continuing Ed Chair for KSAPT in her over seven years of service on the KSAPT Board in its beginnings. She has also served as Membership Campaign Chair for APT for two years and served on APT committees: Ethics & Practices, Key Awards, Registration and Continuing Education, Conference Program, E-Learning. For over eight years Denise has recruited more new KSAPT and APT new members than anyone else. In 2008, Denise received the KSMFT Award for Family Service and in 2009 she will received the Public Education and Professional Education awards from APT. She lives in Kansas City, KS with her hubby and her 11-year-old son. They all to play as they travel!!!

Barb is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor living in Wichita, Kansas. She is also a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. She received Play Therapy Training from Rick Gaskill at WSU. After being a teacher for 14 years, Barb has been a school counselor for the past 8 years and has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for the past 3 years. Barb started a Comprehensive School Counseling Program in the Remington School District in Kansas and also at Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School in Wichita. She was also working in Private Practice at Holy Cross during her tenure there. Barb has worked in private practice part time during the past year and is currently the full time counselor at Cloud Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas where she uses Play Therapy and her Clinical training to work with a very diverse bilingual population of students and their families. She also enjoys being an adjunct instructor at WSU working with the Graduate Division of the Counseling and Ed. Psychology Department.
